Ding!™ is a mobile and web-based application that takes the inefficient process of organizing casual food and grocery orders and turns it into an efficient, collaborative and social experience. In addition to simplifying the group lunch and grocery order process, Ding!™ can be used to help a group select a restaurant, plan an event or even schedule a meeting place amongst friends. Ding! is the new social order™.
How Ding!™ works: One person, the organizer, starts an order by selecting one or more locations and inviting others to order from that location. Invitees can either accept or decline the invite. If the organizer presents them with more than one location, the app collects each individual’s vote; majority wins. In case of a tie, the organizer makes the final call. Once a location has been selected, invitees are asked to submit their order. The app collects the orders and organizes them within the app where it can be viewed, printed or emailed. It also allows the organizer to record payment details such as amount collected and type of payment used. Once the order has been fulfilled, the app notifies the invitees and even helps the organizer reconcile change due.
